PUMP! Underwear

PUMP! Underwear — Questions & Answers

About the brand

What is PUMP! underwear?
PUMP! is a Canadian men's underwear brand founded in Montreal in 2010. It was built around a simple idea: men's underwear that combines athletic performance with bold, confident design. Known for its contoured pouches, wide branded waistbands, breathable mesh fabrics and strong construction, PUMP! has become one of the most recognised premium underwear brands globally. The range covers briefs, boxers, jockstraps, thongs and swimwear.

Where is PUMP! underwear made?
PUMP! is designed in Montreal, Canada, and manufactured at their own facility in Medellín, Colombia. Every piece is produced under ethical conditions — the brand is transparent about paying above-average wages and maintaining safe working conditions throughout production.

Is the brand called PUMP! or Pump It?
The brand is PUMP! — with the exclamation mark — designed in Montreal and made at its own facility in Medellín, Colombia. Pump it underwear, pump undies and pump wear are all common ways people search for it, so if you have arrived here from any of those, you are in the right place. Whichever spelling you use, the thing worth checking is that you are buying from an authorised stockist: PUMP! doesn't authorise marketplace sellers.

Is PUMP! underwear just for gay men?
No — PUMP! is for any man who wants well-made, well-designed underwear. The brand has a strong following across the LGBTQ+ community, but its appeal is rooted in quality and fit rather than any specific identity. Athletic men, gym-goers, and anyone who wants underwear that actually performs and looks good wear it.

Is PUMP! underwear worth the money?
PUMP! sits in the £28–£40 range for most underwear styles — above high-street multipacks, below luxury labels. What you are paying for is the contoured pouch construction, the wide branded waistband that doesn't roll, and nylon/spandex fabrics that hold their shape and colour through repeated washing. If you want underwear that keeps its structure rather than something you replace every few months, it earns the price. If you only need a plain everyday basic, it's more than you need.

Sizing and fit

What size am I in PUMP! underwear?
PUMP! uses its own size guide based on waist measurement: Small fits 28–30 inches (71–76cm), Medium 30.5–32 inches (77–81cm), Large 32.5–34 inches (82–86cm), and XL 34.5–36 inches (87–91cm). Note that XL is the largest available size in the current range. Always measure your waist rather than going by your jeans size — the two don't always match.

Do PUMP! underwear run small?
PUMP!'s designs are intentionally form-fitting — the fabrics are engineered to accentuate your body's natural shape, not sit loosely. If you're between sizes and prefer more room, size up. If you like a snug, supportive fit, your regular size should work well. The fabric has good stretch, so it adapts — but it is cut closer to the body than most high-street brands.

Does PUMP! underwear shrink in the wash?
Cotton styles can shrink if washed in hot water or tumble dried. We recommend washing at 30°C on a gentle cycle and air drying all PUMP! styles, regardless of fabric. This preserves the elasticity, colour and shape for significantly longer. Avoid fabric softener — it degrades elastic fibres over time.

How long does PUMP! underwear last?
With correct care — 30°C gentle wash, air dried, no fabric softener — the nylon/spandex styles hold their shape and colour well beyond a typical high-street pair. The most common cause of early wear is heat: hot washes and tumble drying break down elastic fibres, and the cotton-blend ribbed styles can shrink. Treated properly they outlast cheaper underwear by a wide margin, which is most of the argument for the price.

Styles and collections

What styles does PUMP! make?
The PUMP! range covers five main categories: briefs (low-rise with contoured pouch), boxers (longer cut with stretch fabric), jockstraps (open-back athletic support), thongs (minimal coverage with supportive front pouch) and swimwear (low-rise swim briefs in quick-dry microfibre). Within each style there are multiple collections and colourways, with new drops arriving regularly.

Are PUMP! thongs comfortable for everyday wear?
Yes — the front pouch is properly supportive rather than a minimal afterthought, which is what makes the difference across a full day rather than just an evening. They work well under slim trousers and in warm weather, and the same contoured construction used across the briefs and jockstraps carries through. We stock PUMP! thongs in mesh, microfibre and cotton across several collections.

What PUMP! collections do you stock at BANG&STRIKE?
We carry the full current PUMP! range including Match Point (the tennis-inspired core collection in Deep Blue Tennis, Point Gray and black-and-white micromesh), Bon Voyage (the Pride 2026 collection in rainbow and nautical prints), Whisper (sheer-stripe microfibre in Black and White), Espresso (rich brown mesh and ribbed cotton across four cuts), Mr Grey (minimalist mid-grey in brief, boxer, thong and jockstrap) and Washed Denim (acid-wash inspired prints in Black, Indigo and Bubble Blue), plus swimwear and individual styles across the classic mesh and rib ranges.

Are PUMP! jockstraps good for the gym?
Yes — the jockstrap was originally designed as an athletic support garment, and PUMP!'s construction reflects that. The wide waistband stays in place during movement, the contoured pouch provides support without restriction, and the open back allows full freedom of movement. Mesh styles in particular offer excellent breathability for training. They're equally at home as a fashion piece as they are in the gym.

What fabrics does PUMP! use?
Most PUMP! styles use a nylon/spandex blend — typically 78% nylon and 22% spandex — which gives the stretch, softness and durability the brand is known for. Mesh styles use an open-weave construction for maximum breathability. Ribbed styles use a cotton blend for texture and structure. Cotton-lined pouches appear across multiple styles for added comfort against the skin. All fabrics are fade-resistant and engineered to maintain their shape wash after wash.

Do PUMP! do swimwear?
Yes — PUMP! swimwear is a significant part of the range. The swim briefs are cut low-rise and use a quick-dry microfibre construction with UPF sun protection. They're designed with the same athletic aesthetic as the underwear: contoured, supportive, and visually bold. We stock the current swimwear range alongside the underwear at BANG&STRIKE.

Buying from BANG&STRIKE

Is BANG&STRIKE an authorised PUMP! stockist?
Yes — BANG&STRIKE is an official, authorised UK stockist for PUMP!. We purchase directly from PUMP! and stock only 100% genuine products. This matters more than it might seem: counterfeit PUMP! products exist on marketplace sites and are commonly sold on platforms like eBay, Amazon third-party sellers and similar. These are not genuine PUMP!, are not manufactured to UK safety standards, and will not match the quality of the real product. Buying from an authorised stockist is the only way to guarantee what you're getting.

How do I know if PUMP! underwear is genuine?
Authentic PUMP! products have sharp, crisp logo branding, premium stretch fabrics that feel soft and structured, and come in official PUMP! packaging. If you're buying from a marketplace at a significantly reduced price, treat that as a warning sign. PUMP! does not authorise retailers to sell on marketplaces — any listing there is not an approved seller.

What is your delivery and returns policy?
We offer free standard UK shipping on orders of £50 or more. All returns must be postmarked within 30 days of your order date and returned unworn, unwashed and in original condition with all packaging intact.

Do you ship PUMP! internationally?
Yes — we ship internationally from the UK. Standard international shipping is available at £10 (7–10 days), with tracked international shipping at £20 (5–7 days).

How many Trustpilot reviews do you have?
BANG&STRIKE has over 4,830 verified Trustpilot reviews. You can read them independently at Trustpilot. We're proud of that number because it reflects real customers, real orders, and real experiences — not curated testimonials.
